PAN-DIARY

The Pandemic Dairy

With cases spreading rapidly around the world, social distancing and the use of masks have become a new normal for many individuals. Listening to doctors and the CDC can better prepare you for what you may need to know about coronavirus in your region. To be a role model citizen, wear a mask, and educate those who may believe that masks don't help with the spread of disease. One of the most dangerous things a person can do during this time is to spread misinformation to those who are vulnerable.

"Masks are recommended as a simple barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from traveling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the mask coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. This is called source control" -(CDC.org, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services).

"...masks reduce the spread of droplets when worn over the mouth and nose. Covid-19 spreads mainly among people who are in close contact with one another(within about 6 ft), so the use of masks is particularly important in settings where people are close to each other or where social distancing is difficult to maintain" -(CDC.org, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services).
