PAN-DIARY

The Pandemic Dairy

Who We Are

A group of 3 high school Girl Scouts from the Girl Scout Council of Southern Appalachians, we decided that for our journey towards the Girl Scout Gold Award, we needed to make an impact. We determined that we wanted to collaborate with our fellow citizens to share stories, information, experiences, and opinions during this time of COVID-19. Here, we hope to create a space where everyone feels a little less alone, a little more heard, and a little more united. Feel free to say how your week was, your craziest pandemic memory, how having COVID-19 was, how you're dealing with the loss of a job or a friend, or how your socially distanced relationship is going. This is a space for YOU.

This website has more than one purpose though. After things have settled back down, we hope this can be used as a historical resource for future generations who want to know about what went on during this unprecedented time. We hope to partner with a historical collection or organization to support their work of collecting documents and first-hand accounts from the pandemic, which could be vital to the historical researchers of the future. In writing something here, you are potentially impacting people far, far down the road.

We appreciate you supporting our mission and the people who might use this in the future do too. Thanks, and enjoy!
